I added a small subwoofer to my 2022 Civic Si last weekend. It took 3-4 hours to build and install from start to finish. I had the LOC and sub from a previous car and added a small mono amp.

Here is the LOC and amp on a plate I made from 1/4" plexiglass:

I grabbed the signal from the existing sub and it seems to work fine. Amp and LOC in their final location:

Power wire runs down the driver side and through a grommet in the firewall:

Overall, pretty easy to install. I did some much larger builds in my other cars that took several days. This was just using some things I had in the garage and is only to add a little bass to the existing sound system.

Sorry to revive an old post. I never installed a LOC before. So did you just take the wires out of the factory sub (assuming you eliminated the factory sub) and run them into the loc. And then wires from loc to new amp.
And not have to run any wires from behind the head unit in the dash?

Gotcha. Was just curious as the front Bose tweeters have small capacitors which suggest they are passively filtered for high end frequencies. I bought a set of Focal separates I'm going to install but need to find the correct connector for the tweeter. I don't want to cut/splice the factory harness if possible.

Did you change where you grabbed your signal from yet? I’m about to throw in my audiocontrol setup into my Si. I’m also gonna use their 60ohm load generating device in line to deal with that stupid horrible Bose amp. You should use that to get better sound js. But it’s “AudioControl AC-LGD 60”. I really hate the fact I can’t install an android headunit into my Si though. But every other civic model you can. Makes nooooo sense whatsoever.
