Every honda website I see states the oil and filter change at 7,500 or 12 months "under normal conditions". I don't see 10K anywhere.
Do your own calculations then because 2025 no longer lists an interval. Every 1000 miles is 10% oil life. The dealer says one free service at 10k miles. The maintenance schedule page no longer exists in the 2025 owners manual. I don't see anything in writing on the window sticker. But here is the info from the manual.

^ it went from the

"MM is sooo advance the honda engineerings engineered the shit out of the MM you backyard mechanics dont know any better!!!!'

to

"every 1000 equals 10% oil life"

hahaha
Well you have the info right there. First it only moves at 10% intervals, and clearly shows that in the first pic and currently I have 3500 miles on my civic and showing 70% left. At 4k it will have 60% oil life left. It was at 90% at 1k miles and 80% at 2k.

At the risk of resurrecting a dead thread, I saw that comment when I first got my 25 Civic hybrid in February & was disappointed to see the MM being set up that way. However, mine only just got into the 60's range with over 4,600 miles on the car.

My example is just one data point, and "10% per 1k" may still be a reasonable approximation for what the algorithm gives us, but it does seem like there's more going on than just counting miles before ticking down a tenth. It also seems like the rate it ticks down at is slowing, too - 90% did come at about 1k, 80% did come at 2k, but the last 20% have fallen off that curve. Temperature related, maybe?

Coming from a Camaro SS where the oil life monitor seemed like it ticked down a percent every couple days, I'm still calling it an improvement. Not going to stop me from doing my 1st oil change first thing on Independence Day & still <5k miles, though (gotta take advantage of a mid-60's morning where I can, this time of year).
