For reference. Not a professional install. Made a little guide on how to remove the hvac grill here.

The speaker harness is the very top one. Seems to be the same as the 10th gen, so you can get a plug and play kit, and you do not have to splice the wires. I tapped here, because you can’t fuck this up, and you can run both wires at the same time, instead of doing it twice at the middle pillars. Or you can run one set of wires and then bridge the L&R speakers at your converter.

Here is the reference sheet I used when tapping the wires.

Here is how I ran the the power cable, grommet located behind the battery, so you have to remove it.

Though, don’t do it this way. High risk of cutting wires. Best way to do it is remove the black tape from grommet and slide in from bottom.

Other side will look like this

Ran the power cable along side of the car. Don’t be afraid of the pop clips or plastic covers. I believe in you. Here is the front. On the rear you have to lift up the backseat to remove the larger plastic bits. You can find all kinds of YouTube vids to help you along the way.

Don’t like working the cold too much, so I have t removed the center console yet to run the bass knob. Will return whenever that gets done.

Hey, I saw your comment about tapping into the wire harness for the speakers. You mentioned it was the same as the 10th do you think it's safe to get the Metra 71-1731 and Metra 70-1731 that was for the 10 gen to make a T harness with? Did you add a 4 channel amp?

Not yet... I posted previously because I would like to just drop in the Touring OEM radio to get the wireless android auto and Bose subwoofer support (and the oem amplifier) .. but crutchfield can prob help with the actual speaker replacement because I don't care about having OEM speakers. I still haven't found part #'s / pricing for all this.
how would you go about changing the poem radio do you think it is just a swap plug and play kinda thing I'm also interested in getting that bigger stereo

Added a JBL basspro hub and Lc2i. Tapped into rear speaker wires behind the head unit. If using a cheap converter, highly recommended you tap into the front speakers over the rear.

Your tutorial is great! I'm looking to do the same set up. I have a few questions if you don't mind answering and have the time. What size power cable did you use? Does the trunk cover lay flat with it installed? How has it been thus far? And most importantly, how does it sound? Any cheapy rattling when it's doing it's thing? Thanks!!

Did you guys install the REF-6532ex or ix in your front and/or rear doors of your 2022 Civic Sport? Crutchfield says the IX does not fit but if it does I will get them instead for the added power handling and lower response with the same sensitivity.

Unless the audio system mods is the source of the issue then of course they won't be covered by a warranty. I've yet to meet a technician that wants to punish someone for making basic mods. Modding an audio system is a very basic and easy DIY. If you don't like it or think it's risky...dont do it. No need to try to bash people who enjoy the hobby. It's part of being a DIY community. Assuming that everyone wants to run a 2000W stereo is assanine. Some of us just hate the low quality crap that automakers call 'premium' enough to take some small risks to improve the experience. DIY is fixing problems and having fun with our stuff. If you hate the community then why are you even here?

Guys, i have a 11th gen 2022 sedan and has 8 speakers without bose. Highest trim level in my country (due to some legal limitations). I want to learn the sizes of speakers but some sources say 6 and a half inches all four, some sources say fronts are 6 and hald inches rears are 5 and quarters. Is there any way to learn it without dissembling the door panel?

Crutchfield is an online/mail order retailer of car audio equipment in the USA that prides itself on customer support, including fitment information.

If I enter 2022 Honda Civic sedan - non-Bose audio system, it offers 6-1/2" speakers for both the front and the rear doors:

Looking forward doing doing this as well sometime in the near future in my Sport trim. I was Roadshop manager back in the day @ Circuit City. This should be fun [emoji2956]

I like the jbl components from best buy replaced my sport fronts woth those makes that crappy radio actually sound good for 200$.

I haven’t got to the rest of the speakers. I found adding the subwoofer really smoothed everything out and covered up the downfalls of the audio system that comes in the sport model. It pounds but be ready for the rear deck to rattle and the front dome light. It will all need some attention.
How hard was it to add a sub to the sport i would love that for mine. What kind if sub did u buy and did u use a mono amp?

Just a heads up, I noticed that this resets everytime you turn off and turn your car back on.
Just use your fader to balance the sound. Then turn up the volume to desired level. Volume goes to 40. With fader centered, the sound starts to distort after 24 or so. Fade it toward the rear and this number increases. Uses the full range of the volume and makes the rear louder. Sucks that you can’t just turn the eq off and make it stay that way, but this is a viable work around.
