Wiper Blade Life

Having driven Hondas for many years, have always used the Honda replacement inserts which, typically, in Central Pennsylvania, lasted about a year or so. Pretty much the case with my wife's CRV, especially the rear wiper. I've had my 2023 Civic Touring Sedan for a bit over a year and there's no signs of any streaking or other signs of wear or problems that would cause me to replace them. As the insert blade isn't replaceable, obviously it's a bit more expensive. I bought a spare set, expecting to replace them, yet they live on. What as been your experience with usable blade life since the change in design in 2022?

Change in design? What change in design? Beam style wipers isn't something new and the life of your wiper blades can vary depending on your location as well as the wiper blades you are using since they are all not alike. I used Rain-X wiper blades on my last Honda with no issues.
Previous to the 2022 Civic, you didn't have to replace the blade, just the insert. They were $6-7 bucks each at the dealer. They were usually either made in Japan or the USA and would last at least a year under most conditions.
