Wife's 2025 CRV AWD made in Canada

Interesting note: Both cars have the same color code (Platinum White Pearl). But the Civic is a shade or
two lighter than the CRV.

 

I spoke to a guy at a body shop once, he said Platnium White Pearl shades are all over the place; almost like it changes weekly! He has to tint them to get the color right. We have a '25 Civic, '19 Clarity, and '20 RDX. All of them Platnium White Pearl and all of them are different shades!

My ‘25 hybrid hatch ST (purchased in mid-November ‘24) was assembled in Indiana, with both engine and transmission imported from Japan.

 

But no transmission in the hybrids. Just a clutch. Was it the electric motors you meant?

 

My Nov '24 hybrid hatch was built in indiana.
Past couple months honda has been shipping the hybrid hatches over from Japan to the states. Non-hybrid hatches are still indiana and sedans are built in ontario, Canada. You're also able to get SGP in 25+ with the Japan made ones.

 

I don't think it matters where your car was built if you trust the Honda manufacturing arm.

 

For the most part. But if you look back at the 11th Gen hatches in particular there is a current TSB on the hatches because of leaks. It covered all hatches except the Type R (the only hatch up to that point made in Japan).

But my car is from Saitama and the cover for the tow hook wasn't flush and I had to bump it in for what it's worth hehe.

My 2024 Touring Hybrid was made in Thailand. In Brazil we received only Civics from Thailand. Seemto be very well constructed.

My hatch is from Japan.

 

Japan (VIN J). Dealer had 2 in the color/trim I was looking for- one US made with 15 miles, one Japanese with 103. I have way more trust in the Japanese build quality than US even if it's a mostly automated manufacturing process.

 

My local dealership has three Japanese-built (VIN J) ST hatches on the lot. No sedans.
