Sunroof leak or this is how it works?

Sunroof was closed during a storm and when I pulled the slider cover back and stick my hand up on the sunroof frame I can feel water in the rear corners. I am guessing that's normal and that water is expected to leak and it just gets drained out? Or do I have an issue?

That is correct that sunroofs are designed to leak into the drip collection tray and then drain out via the four drain tubes. I am not sure if you can feel it from the inside of the car as I have never tried it, but water can collect in the tray.

Should drain away quickly if the drains are clear. If you often park under trees, check the drains, an appropriate sized nylon ty-wrap will usually clear any small debris, followed by a gentle flush (use an empty soda bottle with a few ounces of water) you should see a small puddle behind the front tires if the drains are working, you may be able to see the drains in the corners of the tray, it pays to check both the tray and the drains periodically and keep them clean. Whatever you use to probe the drains, do it gently.

I mostly feel water on the metal portion of the sunroof right above the slider cover. not a lot of water but enough to cover my fingers when I touch the area. Sound normal right? I never park outdoors and the car is practically still new so I highly doubt it's blocked.

The areas directly below the sunroof seal are the spots where water will drip into, and that is designed like that in expectation of leaks occurring. Next time you have a minute open the sunroof fully and look down into the tracks from the exterior and see if your fingers were touching the drain pan under the tracks, if so then all is good.
