Hi All,

Out of interest wondering if anybody has had the same issue with their rear view camera guidelines being misaligned? Mine is a 2023 Honda civic sport specifically.

To confirm they were misaligned, parked the car dead on center of a parking space (even measured each side to check distance from the lines was the same), and confirmed the guidelines were too far over to the left/driver side of the parking space (guideline on the left being on the parking space line).

As a DIY workaround I realigned (shifted over to the right) the guidelines in the cars diagnostic mode (hidden menu) and all is fine now. Did this for both the fixed guidelines annd dynamic guidelines. They are now perfectly aligned and accurate 👌

Has anyone had the same issue and re-aligned the guidelines themselves? Debating whether I should also raise with Honda and get them to sort it given it’s under warranty (not sure if it’s the physical rear camera itself being wonky/out of place that caused the misalignment in the first place).

Thanks!

No problem with my ‘24 EX.

The camera is not mounted in the center and will inherently be a bit off. Have you tried using your mirrors while parking? Personally I only use the rear camera when I’m backing out of parking spots because the super wide view lets me see cars or people coming that I may not normally see, or the few times a year I need to squeeze into a tight spot parallel and don’t want to bump the car behind. Otherwise I rely on the mirrors, especially for centering the car while backing into a spot.

mine are absolutely off. how do you get at the diagnostic menu?
Do you have the 7” or 9” screen?

7 inch screen:
Press and hold Connect and Phone
Press Vol/Audio 5 times (while holding above)
Guideline Setup
(next screen are the settings)

I’ve actually never messed with any of those. I just seen them in the menu.

My guidelines aren't off, but the camera is a little "too far". I first noticed it when I was using it to back up into my garage when I first bought the car. In my mom's 2016 Camry it would basically start beeping at you when you were next to the wall, my civic says in right next to it,but then I get out and there's like 2 feet of space.

I only use the backup camera to gauge how much further space I’ve left to back up, always align and park with the mirrors. I thought everyone did this
