I’m experiencing the same issue. Not helpful to you, but know that you’re not the only one! I’m taking my car in for a separate issue with my radio and will be asking the dealer about this.

 

Please keep me posted what they say. I tried the tech support on the phone and the guy said since it was a new model they had no clue what to do. All the older models had a home button which is what the manual says it should have too

 

Same here ,,that app doesn’t work !!

 

My hondalink only works the first time I pair my phone. When I restart the car it says not connected. Pretty useless even if it worked properly.

 

I have the sports trim and I never verified anything through HondaLink. As soon as I got an email from Honda about the app, my car was already verified.

 

I have the app and it is pretty much useless, it just says connecting to car and never proceeds past that... I never had this issue, my VIN shows but are there actually any features we can use on the 2022 Civic Sport trim anyways other than fuel/odom readings from what I was told.

 

I don't think there's much else it can do at this point. I was hoping for remote start, but sadly, no.

 

Agree - the app stinks. Not worth the effort to try to make it work, either.

 

Okay so I think I finally solved this issue.

Verifying driver won’t work if CarPlay or android auto is running. You must connect your phone to the Bluetooth hands free audio for it to work.

 

I think I have the same issue, and mine keeps me from using it as it doesn't like my postal code so I need to spend more time figuring why the postal code is wrong.

But It is a useless app for me either way, not much help or function, MySubaru app was far better and it had remote start and i could find the location of my vehicle 24/7 in real time., and I could set the interior HVAC controls remotely and operate lights and locks remotely etc.

 

I'm certainly glad I'm not the only one having the issue. I recently received a postal mail with some information about the EX-L I purchased last month and thought I'd give HondaLink another try - but still hangs with Connecting to the vehicle... I was hopeful with the reply from @KingDragneel about making sure it wasn't connected to Android Auto but nope Ah well, doesn't seem all that useful anyway.

 

The app is totally useless
My passed experience from my 2018 Accord and now 2022 Civic using the apps share no benefits.
The information is not even correct

Data update is slow in reflecting actual information (Oil Life / Fuel gage / Mileage)

Cons:
you cant access the following features,

• locate your car
• Lock / unlock your car
• Remote start engine ( warm or cool cabin)
• Check tire preasure
• Turn on/off lights
• Honk you horn
• I don't think it will call for emergency services in case of collision.

There is a YouTube video that shows all these feature working but none of thom have been avaialbel to me from my app version.
Anyone else having a better experience?

I bought a 2022 Accord Touring Hybrid yesterday and add the car to HondaLINK but when I put in my email and it says a verification email will be sent shortly. Well that was 24 hours ago and still haven’t received the email. Unacceptable!
