I couldn't find this feature in the manual.
Tried this safety feature out last night.
The car automatically shuts off, if idling, after 20 min.
CVT in Park
Drivers seat belt must be off
Door must be opened and closed
Wait 20 min and engine and electronics will shut off.
Beware, if u leave someone in the car in extreme conditions, with the car running with heat/AC on, the car will shut down in 20 min with the heat/AC.
BTW: I stayed in the car while I tested this with my fob. So if u leave them with the fob, it still will shutoff, they will have to restart the car to maintain heat/AC. Also don't know if, passenger has their seatbelt fastened if this prevents the auto shutoff.
