Until they open the center console and notice the switch...
You can't see the switch unless you tear apart the console. Besides, this add on doesn't void the warranty. It is not something that permanently alters the car because it simply plugs into the wiring harness. It can be removed anytime to restore the car to factory default.
 
If you bring your car in for an electrical issue and the dealer finds any additional wiring and/or switches many will deny warranty coverage and blame the addition. As far as whether a problem is a warranty issue, the dealer makes that decision. And getting into an argument with a dealer can get expensive especially if your car is doa. You can quote Magnuson but it will take a lawyer and money to enforce it. Btw yes you should remove it when servicing unless you know you have a mod friendly shop.

All true. However, I do know to remove the device if I have an electrical issue. Also my car is nearly out of warranty anyway. The device is plug-n-play. No cut wires. It's simple to install and REMOVE if/when necessary
