I wonder if these can be added to a USDM model. I'm considering buying a new Civic Hybrid but want to add some Japanese market OEM Civic parts, like the fog lights, to mine (just gotta import the parts)

 

I'm wondering too as I would like these Japanese oem foglights added to my incoming US 2025 Civic Si

 

This is the first set of fog lights that I actually like the look of

 

Looks like you'd have to replace the whole lower front clip to have those (or do some serious cutting) but yea, I like them.

 

If you can cut 6 1.5 inch holes for an hpd wing, two cuts for the fogs should not be a problem. Looks like the bezel for the fogs sits above the bumper which is probably hiding the cut line. And there may be scribe lines on the rear of the bumper to mark the cuts.

 

I wonder if the cutting is necessary. Are there any options in the aftermarket available yet here?

That's why I like them, they might not be as nicely integrated as the older civics, but they're giving an option to people who don't want them.

 

Can we get this in the US? I want them!!

 

The OP's pic is definitely a render since the shade of black is not the same and the right side has a slightly larger gap underneath the fog light compared to the left side.

Unless you are willing to cut holes in the bumper you are gonna need an aftermarket bumper that is taylored to fit foglights or try to get the bumper from the e:HEV as mentioned a few posts up.

 

So here's prices from the Japanese website. I'm more curious about the "switch kit." Will it be the stalk or button?

Well that's about $500 and after looking at the Honda Access site it looks like a lot of bling - phony tailpipes and aero skirts. I've also read that the fog lights offered on 22-24 Civics were more of an appearance item than actual working fog lights so my interest in these has faded.

 

I think that's just what the Japanese market wants at the moment, but there seems to be more interest in interior goods so there's actually some nice accessories there

 

Just wondering, why such obsession with fog lights? Cool effect or real need? Are existing headlights lights not enough?

 

Just for looks

 

Normal headlights create reflective glare in fog. True fog lights are aimed lower at the roadway directly in front and more dispersed. sometimes they are tinted yellow to reduce the glare. European cars usually have rear fog lights as well which are high intensity tail lights so someone approaching from behind will spot you sooner. Unfortunately a lot of drivers don't seem to have a clue and drive around with all the lights on all the time. On a clear night rear fogs are irritating to the car following you.

In regards to the Civic I'm not sure these are actual fog lights. If they were you should be able to turn them on independent of the headlights because that is how they would be used in actual fog.

 

All genuine Honda Fogs going to years back only work with low beams on. Had them on my 95 Accord Wagon

Has anyone gotten anywhere with installing them on a 2025 US Hybrid?

 

Honda really said "please drill 20 holes into your bumper" instead just adding clips into the base design.

 

The holes and fasteners are already there, that's just how you remove and reinstall it.

 

imagine tho if the 20 holes were already there! you just gotta pop them out lol
