Hello, I have a quote for a 2024 Civic Sport Touring Hatchback.

They are pricing the car to me for $30,850 before taxes/fees. So a discount of $2150 off MSRP.

Do you think this is a good enough deal or think I could go lower?

Thank you!

MSRP of the Sport Touring is $31,450, so they may be including dealer installed accessories to the price they are discounting you from. Its still below MSRP, but not as much as it could be.

Well the civic is in white so that's an extra $455 and the destination & handling fee is $1095. So the MSRP is $33,000. But apparently you can't remove the destination and handling fee.
TBH, I would want to know their "out the door price" with a break down of all taxes and fees. As nice as it to know the value of the car and them giving you a discount, its even better to know what BS they'll try to tack on when you're in the middle of discussing everything else with the finance manager.

I don't consider Doc Fee over $100 to be legit.
So, I would consider that offer to be $30850 + $364 = $31,214.
That's $1,786 off the MSRP, which is 5.4% off from $33,000.

I'd say that's reasonable, but I can imagine aggressive negotiators pushing it to 7% off.
Me personally, don't want the hassle, so I got my Sport Hatch for 4.3% off MSRP, accounting for the fact that the Doc Fee was $500, but I considered that as $400 less discount. That was in April, and the market conditions have changed since then, so it's not an Apples to Apples comparison.

I was mostly happy to get it without them messing with it (no useless accessories, no garbage tint, etc.).
