Hi I have a 2023 Honda civic hatchback sport touring, used the car for more than 8 months and I thought It was normal until my friend who owns a sedan pointed it out to me, and I can see inside the hood in-between the gaps. Is it normal or should I take it to the dealership and point it out, thank you.

Looks about the same as mine. Some around the hatch appear a bit bigger but that’s on every hatch I’ve seen, though your hood looks normal. You aren’t going to get Lexus/Mercedes quality gaps on a Honda that tops out around $30k, nothing on yours seems out of the ordinary.
The sedan is cheaper than the hatchback and it's gaps are made perfect you won't see anything, I have given more money to buy the sport touring as u did too. It's normal to expect better right, not worse.

The hatchback is not a class above the sedan and won’t have better fit and finish, they are literally the same car. People need to have realistic expectations when buying economy cars
So what you mean to say is the sedan which is 10-15k cheaper has better fittings than the hatchback and I shouldn't expect the same for my hatchback touring?
