Owner of a the ‘22 Civic Sport recently bought about two weeks ago. Every time I accelerate there is a rattle in/on dashboard. Anybody else having same problem?
Interesting! I checked mine and it was also more open. I squeezed it shut and went for a drive with someone, we both heard rattling for a bit and then it stopped and we agreed we couldn't hear it anymore, even at higher speeds and in bumpy areas. Even the second rattle which I thought was the front passenger window stopped. I'm going to leave it overnight and go out again tomorrow and see if it's still gone.See that little slit there? My husband said it was open more and he had to squeeze it shut.
Mine actually clicked together when I grabbed ahold of it. I have not heard a rattle since. So weird that sounded like it was deep in the middle of the dash.Manufacturer issue. Glad we figured it out. I think Honda should pay us. I feel like a private investigator honestly. My first new car.
Weird, mine didn't click no matter how I squeezed it closed. There's still a little gap between the two pieces but it's much smaller than it was before. I went for a pretty long drive today and seemed rattle free, so thanks to @Burnooger and her husband for the awesome detective work, otherwise I'd still be spinning wheels with the dealer trying to get them to sort it out.Mine actually clicked together when I grabbed ahold of it. I had one rattle in my mirror and @Burnooger fixed with her Jedi! So no help over here Sooks.Hey all! I just picked up my 22 Touring and came to see if people were finding rattles as well. Funny enough (or sad enough) I sold my Tesla due to some window rattles that the dealer just couldn't fix no matter how hard they tried. So I just hit 250 miles and BOOM passenger side sun visor rattle, hold it down rattle goes away; okay no big deal ill just flip it open rattle gone. Unfortunately that just exposed another rattle, the sunroof cover, full open rattle fully closed rattle half open/closed no rattle.... okay no big deal visor open, sunroof cover half open.... which happened to expose 2 more rattles lol, over bumps the piano black plastic around the vents creaks and I think the rattle from the back is coming from a rear passenger window. I love the car, the rattles are driving me nuts![]()
I am going to try that at lunch and see if that will remove what appears to be the dash/visor/sunroof cover rattle; I REALLY hope so!I had one rattle in my mirror and @Burnooger fixed with her Jedi! So no help over here Sooks.
It really sounded like it was deep inside the middle of the dash. Good luck my friend!I am going to try that at lunch and see if that will remove what appears to be the dash/visor/sunroof cover rattle; I REALLY hope so!
thank you! I will report back!It really sounded like it was deep inside the middle of the dash. Good luck my friend!
Yes it is pretty flimsy. Sorry about your sunroof brother. I hope you can figure out the noise and remedy it soon.Well, that plastic behind the mirror is as cheap as one could get that is for sure, but not my issues. Sadly I think mine is the entire sunroof.
Oh no!!! Sorry to hear that! That's awful!!Well, that plastic behind the mirror is as cheap as one could get that is for sure, but not my issues. Sadly I think mine is the entire sunroof.
I don't think so hmmm. I will check it out in the morning. I haven't driven much this week. I will pay attention. Seems like that mirror plastic base was my whole problem. Well that and a window squeak. Knock on wood!!!Question for people, when you drive and hit bumps does your piano black dash trim creak and pop? I can push on mine in a few areas to mimic it, but its doing it while just normal driving..... hoping it just needs to some to.. idk break in..
Mo, have you tried directly below the rearview mirror? The Plastic housing that covers the Sensing Camera below the mirror is what has been making the dash rattle in many cars. It sounds as though it is deep inside the dash but I think that may be the acoustics of the cabin. My plastic below my mirror was loose and it sounded like it was in the middle of dash somewhere. Just grab ahold and squeeze it together and no more rattle. I hope this helps solve your problem without waiting on the dealer.I own honda civic 2022 Lx and just after a week of purchase, the dashboard started to rattle. The noise is getting worse and worse every time I drive. I called the dealer and he said to bring it in 2 weeks. Superb customer service smh.

Thanks for your reply. I tried that but it did not work. It is actually funny because it makes a different sound every day and sometimes it makes all sounds altogether. I heard so many good things about Honda civic 2022, but I am starting to regret buying it.Mo, have you tried directly below the rearview mirror? unfortunately, that is the only dealership there is in miles from where I liveWelcome to the forum.
Did you only try with one dealership? If so, you might have better luck getting an appointment sooner with other ones.
BTW, it would be great to see pics of your Civic!
