While I don't know for a fact I would say/assume yes. It isn't like the engine bay is overhauled between the sedan and the hatchback and the Type R motor is the same K20 in the 11th gen as it was in the 10th gen

Can you put the 2018 honda civic type R engine in the 11th gen civic si
Yeah it’s a super common bolt on mod!

Nah but for real it would be sick; but you can get CTR power levels with an ethanol Etune and supporting mods from DRob. Not to discourage your dream or whatever, but engine swaps are a very involved process (even civic to civic). All that said, it would be dope to see someone do it.

I do not see why not. The biggest challenge would be figuring out mounting points (engine, transmission, etc) and everything else can be fabricated. There are no swap kits yet since this plat form is fairly new.

would be interesting to see a k20z3 swap that retains all the 11th gen features (esp rev match, shifter feel and clutch feel).

best of luck

I would be shocked if they ever made a “swap kit” for this… they don’t have one for 10th gen and those are 6 years old.

Yes we will be doing it this year but instead using the Accord 2.0t same thing, difference is Type R engine is all bosch unit and nowhere near plug n play with this as the Accord will be much easier to adapt
What power levels are y’all shooting for? And what application? I would LOVE to see a time attack build but I get the feeling it’s gonna be a drag weapon.

Are y’all looking to retain all OEM interior functions and stuff or just go full race car?

stock block 550whp is pretty easy , street drag build. We already have another race car we are building a 9th gen si with a j series swap turbo 1200hp

i'm tossing up the idea of doing a k24a3 swap on my 10th gen hatchback. im not interested in crazy power. im more interested in a dual vtec k series that can rev to 8k and make around 250whp200wtq without breaking a sweat for track. and ofc you could always turbo it if you want crazy power haha. the fk8 motor is intriguing but way too expensive. I've always preferred NA motors, nothing like the feel of that classic flat honda powerband and instant power. on FWD its hard to justify too much power if you want it to do anything other than go straight. but to each his/her own.

I’m going to do the same thing I’m going to put a k20c4 from the 2.0T accord I blew my engine on my 11th gen si and Honda wanted to charge me 8k to fix and I told myself this could be a good chance to k20 swap I’m having @_pearlsir_ on instagram help me out he swapped his 10th gen si if its successful I’ll be the 1st 11th gen si k20 swap my ig is @_loy.gee

Welcome to the forum. How did you blow the engine in your Si? Surprised to hear that happening here.

Gotta have a full standalone for that, stock ecu will only run the k20c4 engine if you swap

I’ve also been considering an engine swap or a rebuild for my SI. I have read the 11th fe1 motors can’t take more than 500 hp. If I were trying to make 500+hp which would be more cost effective a rebuild or a swap? I’m pretty new to this so don’t mind my ignorance.

Swap if you are looking for those numbers, K20c4 due to fueling wont make much past 400whp without Meth injection. K20c1 is out of the question unless you buy a Motec at $8000. L15b7 could make over 500hp but longevity is an issue
