Waiting period for Honda civic in canada

I spoke to someone who works on the assembly line at the Ontario factory. He confirmed that 2023 builds begun on Tuesday. He also said that things are moving a little slow because they are “really messed up with parts.”

I’m waiting for a Black 2023 LX. When I placed the order on 09/14, the salesman told me to expect it in late November or early December. We shall see…

It"s too bad Honda doesn"t have their own parts plant in Alliston,Thanks for the info.Do you know what they are building CRV"S or Civics?

You should know more in 2 weeks hopefully.That"s what I am hoping for.I ordered a HB so that comes from the plant in Indiana.So just have to wait and see what arrives at the dealer.If it is an Si i will take it LOL

I have a buddy who works at the Alliston plant building CRV's, and the othe plant builds Civics. Haven't talked to him lately to see what he is buildin (if anything)

i just looked it up.Honda has plant 1 and plant 2 in Alliston.Thanks for the info,.

Hopefully you talk to him,that would be a great inside the plant contact.That info would be helpful.

3 to 6 months is about right. Honda seems to chose which dealers get the allocations.Usually ones with bigger sales I guess or maybe not.

I stopped by the dealer I am now dealing with and the sales manager told me that Honda is not allowing them to order any 6 spd manuals until further notice. .That was not what I wanted to hear.This is my third kick at the can trying to get a 6 spd.My first 2 options were cancelled by Honda.So I got my deposit back and went to the dealer I am with now.The first dealer seemed shady.

One more thing,I was told maybe March or April ETA.That will be almost a year and a half waiting for a damn car.
