Law enforcement in my area don’t care about front windshield tint. I have had this done to every vehicle I have owned over the years. Plus, I have a written prescription for my tint. So I can’t get a ticket for it.
You can get a ticket, the Rx is just an affirmative defense to said ticket and would likely result in the judge tossing the ticket after you go to court and plead not guilty.

Small difference but still a difference!

15% Ceramic all around except windshield and sunroof. Love the way this looks! I was originally doing 35% on the fronts, and 15% on the back windows. Glad I changed it. We’ll see if LE bothers me. I talked to an LE friend and he does 15-20% on his cars. He just told me to leave the windshield alone and I would be fine.

I just tinted the back window 20% ceramic last week. I am noticing that when I look through the rear view mirror, I am seeing multiple headlight flares where the defrost lines are from other cars. Is this normal and will it go away?
It's normal and it generally gets better as the sun heats the tint and adheres it better to the window over time; but it's still there. If you think about it, the tint can't perfectly adhere to the window because the defroster lines are slightly raised from the window. There's gonna be a very slight deviation of the tint from the window as it crosses each line. That small gap and wave in the tint tends to exacerbate what you are describing.

You get used to it.

I did Formula One Pinnacle (ceramic film), 50% on side and back windows. I'll circle back and get Llumar Air 80% on the windshield either this week or next. I had them do Gtechniq ceramic coating on the paint and exterior glass at the same time. Tint itself was $395 in OC California. View attachment 4482
I love the colour of that tint, beats the black or smokey colours, more like the oem green glass but just darker, very nice.

Got mine tinted two days ago. 15% everything except moonroof and front windshield. Looks so good on Morning Mist Metallic paint. View attachment 3680 View attachment 3681
That looks awesome! I have a silver EX being built this week (finally). It will look very sim to yours and I am getting my windows tinted ASAP. Makes the car look so much better.

How are you liking your EX? I ordered the EX as well because I think it is a good value for the money with all of the "bells and whistles" you get. Would have loved a touring, but they are a little too pricey in my book for a Civic.

That isn't normal at all. Not sure what you guys are smoking or who tinted your windows

Not sure anybody has asked, but where in Ontario are you? If GTA where did you get the tint done, and how are you finding 30%? When I get my Sedan Touring I am looking a few scenarios I think:

  • 30 throughout
  • 35 throughout
  • 35 front/30 rear incuding back glass
