I’m just curious what oil and oil filter everyone uses and why they choose them.

I just did my first oil and oil filter change with a tire rotation at 8,200 miles.

I used Mobil 1 0w20 Extended Performance with a Mobil 1 extended performance oil filter.

What do you use?

I used the same oil for my first oil change and I have second batch ready to go for my second oil change. I use Honda filters.

Mobi1 0w20 EP has the highest level of PAO group 4 base stocks within the entire Mobil1 line up, it is a great oil for over the counter brands. My other choice if Mobi1 is not available would be Pennzoil Ultra , both good oils and I get whichever one is on sale at any given time.

Cool we use the same Oil. What makes you choose the Honda filter over an aftermarket filter?
I used to use the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum on my 2018 ford transit 3.5L and that’s a good oil too definitely.

I use Honda filters I usually buy on sale from the dealership. I've always used OEM oil filters for both my Toyota and Honda cars and have been satisfied with them. As for oil I use Kirkland Signature 0w-20 from Costco; the price is good and it's good oil too. I've been using it for years now and so far no reason to not use it. I change mine every 5k miles.
