Weather mat suggestions?

2781 Views 14 Replies 15 Participants Last post by  Salle2061
Hey all,

Looking for weather mats for Civic Si. I was considering the Honda OEM ones or weathertech ones. Weathertech ones look better to me but for the same price I could get back mats too with the OEM kit. Any suggestions?

I have the oem mats in my sport sedan, they came with the car along with the carpet ones. I've had weather tech ones in other cars and loved them, but the oem mats have done a fine job this winter. So I think either is good, comes down to your choice.

I have the OEM ones for my EX. I've always had weathertech mats for all my other cars and was planning on buying them but them my dealership had a sale on 22 Civic parts/accessories for black Friday last year so I bought those. They're okay.

If you have the money, I'd recommend spending a little more money to get the weathertech ones.
I'm happy with OEM mats.

From prior experience with Weathertech these maybe cover a little less but they are more flexible and more "rubbery" / less plasticky, if that makes sense... which I like.

I bought the oe rubber ones and they’ve been great in the snow this winter. The Weathertech ones weren’t available yet when I purchased. In the end, they’re just foot mats. Will an extra inch of coverage on the side really make or break your life?
We normally buy WeatherTech for all our cars. For the 22 SI, we bought the Honda carpeted mats that moderately roll up the sides of the foot well. We sprayed them with Scotch guard and will give them a run. They also are embroidered with the civic logo. Certainly won’t be as easy as a rubber mat, but wanted to maintain a cleaner look. The dealer had never seen them before when they ordered them, so I guess a new offering from Honda…not sure. First Honda in a while.
I have Husky Liners for my 2022 sport. They fit well and seem to keep everything inside of them really well. The OEM mats aren't that nice imo they aren't contoured to the walls
I am copying and pasting this from another thread that I posted it on so more people know if you want to save some money on floor mats. I'll take some pictures later and post it.

If you guys have the mats for the 10th gen civic they also work for the 11th gen with very little modifications. I used a heat gun on the edges to flatten mine down so there's no gap between it and the side was of the floor. The rear was pretty decent too. It was a really tight fit on the exhaust hump but you can cramp it in the gap or cut it a bit and it'll fit right in. Only reason I gave it a try was I bought the mats and when I traded in my 10th gen for the 11th they dealership wasn't going to try in more money for the trade in so I stripped everything on the car that didn't come with it. Even the rear seat cover that I bought from collegehill honda hahaha.

Anyone using Coco Mats ?
Honda all weather mats are terrible for keeping winter snow melt water under control.

Tuxmats are ridiculously tight in terms of fitment , and provide more coverage than Weathertech in terms of side sill protection and even at the back of the floorpan under the seat. They are so well measured it is crazy how they got the fitment perfect.

I got mats from these guys

I was originally looking at Weatertech (Which I have in my Van) and I am much happier with the Lasfit than the weathertech ones. Very reasonably priced for what you get too. Check out 717Project on the youtube as he did a video on them if you need more information and want to see them.
I love tuxmat! I have them for my civic touring and they are amazing. Great coverage, way better than weather tech, more pliable and better overall look.

That’s what I am using!
+1 for Tuxmat

I tried WheatherTech and Huskey on my last two cars. On this Civic, I went with Tuxmat after reading all the positive reviews. They are spectacular, and I am using them all year round as they look way more premium over the OEM's. They are not hard plastic like the Wheather and Huskey but soft/plushy. After a long Canadian winter, I took them out to wash, and they looked brand new after the wash. They seem indestructible. Like the Huskey's, they are made in Canada.

Also, they cover 99% of the car's carpeting. Basically, you can not see the original carpeting at all. The other two brands cover the floor and maybe a few inches on the sides.
