Hey guys, this might be a dumb question but the other day it was raining a lot, and a mini van splashed a lot of water on my car when driving. And I’ve been wondering if it was possible water could’ve damaged something internally or somehow got under the hood onto somethin😅. I’m not sure if it got on the front grille of the car as I couldn’t see anything since the whole windshield was covered in water and was pretty violent. But most definitely got on the hood of the car. I wasn’t going fast or on throttle. Checked the intake hours later and it was dry but have been paranoid lol.

Thanks!

Nothing to worry about. I have about 20,000 miles on my Sport and with living in Ohio, my car has been through so much rain/snow and nothing has gone wrong!

Don't listen to these guys saying it's no big deal - it IS!

You'r car is almost certainly severely water damaged and will become a salvage title at next inspection, i.e., will lose at least 50% value of the car.

I'll buy it from you at 70% of MSRP though, because I'm a good guy. PM me if interested. I'll fly to you!

Some kids were playing at the end of the street. Here I am motoring along in my dual quad double barrel positraction 409. They turned the water hose at me right into the front grill. I've been paranoid ever since it's common knowledge radiators only likes distilled water. Immediately after the event I thought I saw the temp gauge dip cold by 2 bars 🥶. I had to pull over I was in the midst of a panic attack. 😬 Now I got belt squeal and everything.. I was out there for three freaking hours with a bar of soap under the belt. It just kept creating bubbles I'm pretty sure they got a water softener.😤
