Get ready for a long wait if its a specific trim you’re looking for. I would say 3 months average seems about right. I have been waiting since Feb 19th and the dealer has no updates yet.

 

I'm in AB and put a deposit down for a Sport Touring hatch at the same time. Dealer also said to expect 3 months. Haven't heard a thing since then, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being longer.

 

Ordered the 2nd week of January.. I have a delivery date of June 8th-14th -_- most likely cuz its a touring.

I bought a civic sport in SGP and I'm in Ontario. I made the $1000 upfront payment on March 28. On my bill of sale it says my ETA is mid May, so finger crossed now. I will double check with the dealer by end of next week to see if they have any updates.

 

I'm in ontario as well, ordered a SGP. Dealer told me earlier this week he will be updating me every Monday. New policy.
I am happy that I put a payment down and locked in my price... since my model went up by $1700 April 1st

 

Did you order a HB? I think the HB is manufactured in the US and the sedan is from Ontario so that's why the wait time for Sedan seems much shorter. Man i respect your patience. Can't imagine myself waiting almost half a year for a car...

I'm in Ontario. Ordered a black SI mid March, with a delivery of end of June. I fully expect it to go past that, unfortunately.

Will likely be ordering a Touring Sedan in SGP in the next couple of days and being told roughly 3 months. Some dealers appear to have alotments coming in, so you can getl lucky if open to colours. Just finising the stupid negotiating back and forth but seem to have my best deal I've found in the GTA, so will see in the next 48 hrs

 

What kind of deal did you get? I think they raised the price of the touring by more than 1k starting April 1?

Wow you ordered a Sedan and they gave you 5 months wait time?? Now that really makes me have doubts on my 1.5 months wait time LOL...

 

Well they told me sometime March/April
Then it became delivery for beginning of May
Then it was pushed to the end of May
Then April 1st they told me it was pushed back again buy with an actual scheduled dates (1 week) June 8th- 14th. Don't know if that's any better but we will see. But I locked in my price in January. Original price 30,250 or w.e it was (before taxes and everything else) and locked in my interest rate. 84 months at 3.99. My sales associate told me and shortly after I confirmed it with the finance manager.

 

Do you mind me asking which dealer it is? I don't understand how can it take that long when the final assembly is 1 hour from Toronto. Do you have your VIN number yet or its still pending?

Good luck. Ordered SGP in January, yesterday mine got pushed to Build Date! mid July. Delivery August.
This is the 4th time.

 

I'm scared to even ask my sales rep for a build date at this point.

 

For real. I'll be getting updates every Monday... so ill be scared for that message every week 😬
Maybe the rumors are true, maybe they are just going to roll out 2023s.
I told my dealer that 2 push backs ago.... "at this rate the 2023 will come out by the time I get my car"
He assured me that wouldn't happen....

I'm located in Jersey ordered my 2022 Hatch and waited about 1 month and half for it.

 

This is mostly about Canadian orders... and Sedans which are built in Canada.

 

I ordered my silver EX on Feb 18 with a build date of April 22. It has since been pushed back twice, current build around May 30. Guessing it will be July before I actually receive it. The assembly plants seem to be focused on building sport trim since that is what allot of people are buying. Regardless of your dealer loc in Canada or USA, I would think the lead time won't differ much. The wait sucks but if you can find a dealer selling at MSRP consider yourself lucky. In my area, lower mileage 2021 civics actually cost MORE than brand new 2022s. Crazy times. I am a certified Honda guy though so the wait stinks but it is what it is right now.

This could explain the delays. They are pushing back all civics. I'll be getting another update from my dealership on Monday.

 

My original eta was march/April. Then.. early may, then late may, then June 8th-15th... now build date is mid July delivery sometime in August.
I personally know my sales associate so I just have him on Facebook.. he has kept me in the loop.
