May I ask what they gave you for the Si and what markups the type r had if any? You’re not too far from me and I think I could be persuaded to trade up to a type R if there is a reasonable dealer.

 

I got $28k on trade with almost 13k miles and I paid MSRP with no extras. But I am friends with a sales manager at the dealership. They pretty much sell with $10k ADM. Took me 2 years of pestering him to get it done.

It was a 22 SI

 

Congrats on the FL5 and good luck with the sales. Would definitely have been interested in some of the parts if I didn't just replace the central air unit in my home this week.

Hey, I did the same thing in June. You did a lot better than me though. I only was offered 23k for my trade though. Love my Type R, zero regrets. I have to list my stuff from the si too. I have the front bumper lights with fog lights, the smoke V2 tail lights, and the smoke rear bumper lights all brand new in the boxes. If anyone is interested, hit me up.

I have 1,800 on the CTR. I meant the trade in car. My SI only had 13k.

We're you looking for red, or did you grab what you can get?

Red was the color I wanted for the SI. I would have taken just about any color but black for the CTR. Honda red is such a great color and insanely rare.

 

I had just below 15k on my si. I'm not much for red cars, but it looks good with the red interior. I didn't know it was rare. I would have rocked black. The wing and panel extensions would have matched.

 

I had a black SI and it was just too much work to keep clean. I'm also glad to have the contrast back between trim and body color. Based off the FL5 tracking site, which I do not have a URL handy for, only 270 out of about 6,100 total 23/24 Type Rs in the US are Red.

 

My si was the gray one. I wonder how many type rs were boost blue for 2024?

 

I can't find the link to the site but if I recall correctly there were about 3,000 CW, 1,600 BB, 1,300 SGP, 650 CBP and 270 RR in the US for 23 and 24 combined.

Only 6,000ish FL5s in the US for 23/24 makes them all pretty rare and special.

 

I suppose you're right. My dealership said they only get 1 every other month.

I don't. There are a couple FL5s and an FK8 local that I see regularly.

 

I'm from central NJ, Middlesex county. I really dig red on our car. I think you might have bought the best color. I saw a video, and the color really goes well. Slightly jealous lol.
