A site called Car City complied a list of how much JDM cars are selling for on BringATrailer and the prices are skyrocketing.

For each car they compared the average price of the first 10 cars sold to the price of the last 10 and the difference is staggering.

Here are some examples from the list of what NSXs, Integra Type Rs, and CRX SIs are going for. If you have one I suggest you hold on to it tightly.

Maybe not. I've seen two CRXs hit BAT over the past few weeks. Both sold for over $20,000

That was fun while it lasted lol

I just found a 2000 Honda Civic Si with 41,000 miles that sold for $19,000. Less than those CRXs. I mean, I love the CRX, but it's not nearly as much car as that generation Civic Si.

There's a beautiful 2003 Civic SiR for sale on eBay for $29,500 Canadian! ($22,637.44 USD).

Oh damn that's an incredible SiR, 15,317 kilometers is insanely low. I wonder why they didn't auction it off instead of a buy it now price.

The idea of compiling a list of how much JDM cars are selling on a particular platform is something that I fully support. I have no idea why the prices have skyrocketed, but I guess it goes down to the longevity and high quality of the materials combined with some striking looks. JDM cars have always been a point of interest for those keen on owning a reliable car that would serve them for many more years. The best part is that nowadays, you have platforms like jdmbuysell that serve as an intermediate between the buyer and the seller, providing the opportunity for both to get a good deal.
