"RealTime’s World Challenge TSX returns to the track after 12 years away.
Peter Cunningham will race this No.42 Acura TSX on July 16 – 18 in the WeatherTech® International Challenge with Brian Redman vintage races at Elkhart Lake’s Road America. It will be Cunningham’s first time back in a Gen 1 TSX since taking the 2008 GT World Challenge America Touring Car Championship title.
RealTime Racing and Acura enjoyed much success with the first-generation TSX, with drivers Cunningham and Pierre Kleinubing each winning a pair of Drivers’ Championships and Acura earning the Manufacturers’ Championship in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. Over the six-year run from 2004 – 2009, RTR won 21 Touring Car races with the TSX model, or ~20% of its World Challenge total.
The July vintage weekend at Road America is one of the track’s most entertaining and well-attended events of the season. With 400 diverse entries split up into 16 separate race groups, there is something for everyone, from ‘PreWar’ cars all the way up to 20-year-old Formula 1 cars.
After blow-out attendance results at the recent IndyCar and NASCAR Cup weekends, the RealTime team is looking forward to connecting with the fans and taking part in the competition for the third year in a row.

It's a must for Honda die-hard fans. I mean, how often do you get to witness an older, well sorted Honda race car packing a K24 in action! Not only that but it along with other cars from RealTime Racing still kept a lot of original equipment you'd find in regular production models, helping to show the potential of these cars.

November 1, 2005 — Torrance, Calif.
RealTime Racing (RTR) was the first team to compete using Acura-branded vehicles. The tradition of winning continues to this day, as RealTime Racing's Peter Cunningham won the 2005 Driver's Championship and Acura the Manufacturer's Championship. This race-prepared TSX A-SPEC boasts a fully-built K24A2 engine with 12.5:1 compression pistons, Carillo rods, RTR spring retainers and engine mounts and everything else needed to be competitive on the track. The chassis is lightened to the minimum 2650 pounds, and enhanced with Eibach racing springs, Moton adjustable struts and RTR Chromoly front and rear suspension components. The six-speed transmission is mated to a Tilton flywheel and clutch. Inside, a Sparco seat, belts and steering wheel combine with the Racetech radios and Hella switches and relays for a race-winning environment.
