I find the seats are too low too. Specifically the passenger seat.

Buy a seat cushion?
Trade it in on an Si.I bought a 2023 Civic EX sedan in March, and it's very painful to sit in this car. I can't pinpoint the exact cause, but my back hurts even if riding only a few miles. (I'm a male, 5'8", 145 lbs.) Even with the seat at max height, my thighs don't fully rest against the seat cushion, because the seats are SO low. Perhaps that is part of the problem. Also, the seats are wide and slick, so I tend to slide around. It's horrible. I've tried a variety of positions in regard to seat height, angle, distance forward, etc. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this during the short test drive, because I was paying attention to other things. Now I regret the purchase. Any suggestions? Seat replacement? Please help.
Thank you, rip202. So are you saying I should put my left foot on the dead pedal or not to put it on the dead pedal?Yes, the seats in the Civic suck. I second the recommendation for a seat cushion. I use a "Purple" cushion and it really does make a difference. I also noticed in the driver's seat that if you put your left foot on the dead pedal, your left hamstring will rest ON the part of the seat that curves up (for lack of a better description). If you instead put your left foot to the left of the brake pedal (instead of on the dead pedal) your left hamstring is INSIDE the part of the seat that curves up. Before I moved the position of my left foot, my hips and spine were slightly misaligned which was super uncomfortable. Here is a LINK to the car seat cushion that I use. It's expensive, but worth it. You might be able to find a sale or discount code.
I think it's more comfortable if you do not put your foot on the dead pedal and instead put it a little bit to the right of the dead pedal. Kind of in between the brake pedal and the dead pedal, if that makes sense. That allows your left leg to extend straighter and also causes your left hamstring to stay on the flat part of the seat.Thank you, rip202. Thanks, modernDAYmods. I'll check it out!I too have a bad back. I've applied this lumbar support to all my cars and my seat at work. Works wonders if you're feeling old and just want a comfortable drive.
I drive a '23 Civic Hatchback
