Welcome to the forum @Noel! Which Civic are you planning on getting? Sedan, hatch, Si or Type R? Have you owned Civics before?
Not sure yet. Have owned four type R’s in the past plus vti’s and 1.5 turbos

Oh that's a great list of Civics! Which Type R's have you owned?
Welcome @Noel

As @VTEC Goes Bwaah said, tell us more about your past Type Rs. Got any pics?

Looks like you're from the UK. I'm jealous because you had Civic Type Rs long before we did.
I am also new here. Nice to meet everyone. I'm coming over from the 8th civic site after 15 years with my current civic and was hoping to get into the 11s as well.

I am saddened that there are no longer coup options for our civics but I do hope we get to have one more stick shift choice when these release.
Welcome to the forum guys!

@Noel what stands out to you about the new Civic?

@ramensuplex is your 8th gen Civic a coupe? Are you looking to trade it in for a 11th gen?

Yup that is the plan. I was looking into the 2011 hatchback sport since its the cheapest way to get a stick shift but looks like all the Honda dealerships around Los Angeles are out so I shall pray that the 11th gen has a manual transmission option.

Hey @ramensuplex . Welcome to the forum. Good news for you. Civic hatch will get a stick-shift.

I miss the coupe too. I had an EG hatch back int he day but always thought the 5th gen coupe was one of the most perfect overall vehicle designs.

Looks like @St00k beat me to it but yes there will be a manual transmission for the 11th gen. But it won't be on the sedan, only hatchback, Si and Type R
@St00k @Palmer8 Nice that is great news. Thanks guys.

I will keep pouring oil into my engine and hope I can limp across long enough to make ot the the 11s.

What kinds of issues are you dealing with?

The main issue is that I'm starting to leave oil everywhere. My family mechanic said the engine is starting to leak it.

Also the roof is starting to sag but this is not a mechanical issue.

Do you know where the oil is leaking from?

I am unsure but I plan on filling it up and taking a look over this weekend to see if I can find anything.

Here's hoping you can find the leak and it's not a big problem to fix.
