Hello, I haven't posted in a while because I am a very busy person as of lately.

I am looking for some suggestions for classy interior modifications.

One thing I would really like to do is change the OEM interior dome lights and such to red bulbs. The lights by the sunglasses holder and the dome light in the back as well as the ones under the dash. The white LED lighting is very harsh on the eyes.

I would also like to change out the OEM floor mats. The drivers side floor mat has come loose from the grommet and it looks horrendous. I am considering the Weather Tech floor mats, but I am open to suggestions. I really do like having carpet, because I think it looks nice and the Weather Tech looks a bit to utilitarian to me.

Another thing I would like to do is potentially put seat covers on the front and rear seats, but I do have a leather interior and I have front heated seats. I do like the black leather, but I feel like red would look so nice.

I like the factory look of the interior plastics, but if there is anything out there anyone would recommend that would still look nice and not be tacky for upgrading the interior look I would be open to suggestions.

As a side note any other suggestions for modifications that upgrade the look of the vehicles interior or exterior that aren't super tacky would be appreciated!

Thank you!

To my knowledge, I don't think you can swap the dome lights out. I believe they are embedded diodes so they can't be removed. I've thought about overlaying some kind of color tint but have not looked much into it.

As for the floor mats, Weathertech is a good option or Lasfit. I have the full Lasfit floormat set in my Civic and they are awesome and very easy to clean!

For leather seats, I have thought about going back to Coverado. They have some good options even if you have heated seats. Little pricey in my opinion though.

I haven't done much to my interior yet aside from a carbon fiber center console armrest, but I am thinking about getting an overlay for my steering wheel that I can sew on. Much cheaper option than a whole new steering wheel, just a little time consuming.

As CrimsonNic22 said, you cannot change the bulbs of interor dome lights as their are soldered on. You could resolder them or you can add some red foil.

I've done this on mine but sadly forgot to take pictures of the process, it's not too difficult though. I'll be adding another layer of red foil as I find current state (not visible on photo) a bit too light, more of a rose color.

I'll take photos of the procedure when I get at it.
