I have a 2025 Civic Hybrid Sport Touring Sedan on order. It appears that Honda uses MyQ on this car for a garage door opener. The issue is that Chamberlain (the manufacturer of MyQ) says on it's web site that this specific 2025 Civic model (Hybrid Sport Touring) is NOT SUPPORTED??? Has anyone tried to use MyQ on this 2025 Civic Hybrid Sport Touring sedan? The issue seems to be the wireless capability of the car. It's all very confusing, and the dealer has no clue. Honda says MyQ should work, but Chamberlain says no. Does anyone know the answer? Thanks!!

I could try it, but to be honest, using the opener push button remote works great for me. If you really want to use MyQ, install it on your phone and control the door from there. I am guessing that Honda is running a "fork" of Android and that could be a problem, although you do have access to Google Play store so that would imply that all (most?) apps should work. (I have an Android phone)

On the overhead panel between the mirror and the switches there is a flat surface to which I placed my garage door remote using double-back Gorilla tape. It has held for the past three weeks without any signs of letting loose. It's virtually un-noticeable, you have to purposely look there to see it. Practically as good as having the built in HomeLink buttons.

Thanks again for the helpful responses. The Chamberlain MyQ problem appears to be unique to the 2025 Civic Hybrid Sport Touring model. Other than using the original push button remote (which is perfectly OK), I prefer HomeLink to MyQ for the reasons someone stated above. Unless Honda or someone comes out with a replacement rearview mirror with HomeLink, Honda is promoting MyQ for this Civic model and Chamberlain says MyQ does not support this Civic model. Over time, someone will figure this out. The original push button remote is a perfectly good solution.

The mirror on the 2025 Civic hybrid Sport Touring sedan does not have the HomeLink buttons, and so far, there is no optional replacement rearview mirror with HomeLink buttons. Honda says MyQ is supported on this 2025 Civic model, but Chamberlain (MyQ) says no. Thus, this thread to see if anyone has tried MyQ on this specific Civic model.

it's a bummer that there's no HomeLink option for the 2025 Civic Hybrid Sport Touring. Since Chamberlain and Honda are giving mixed signals, I'd say stick with the original remote for now. You could always try mounting it with tape on the dash or visor for easy access. If MyQ support ever becomes available, it should be a quick update, but for now, the clicker works just fine. You can also take advice from reputed local professional Garage door experts.

If you really want an OEM Homelink, you can use the Homelink mirror meant for the Accord.

Part numbers:
Harness 08V03-30A-100
Homelink Mirror 08V03-3A0-100

I did this install on my '24 Sport hatch. I doubt Honda changed the mirror mounting points for the '25 models.

Here's a how-to video for the install. It's an Integra, but hey, it's the same car.

Yes I was going to mention that because I have more than one car but only one remote and when I tried to pull it down the other day I couldn't get it to budge! I'm going to have to work on getting it loose and go with the Velcro. The only challenge is getting whatever adhesive is used to stick to the plastic.

I started this discussion and would like to summarize my findings. I took delivery of my 2025 Civic Hybrid Sport Touring Sedan a little over 2 weeks ago. I was lucky in that my car is not subject to any recalls at this time including the steering gearbox. So far everything is great. Sure I wish it had cooling front seats and rear vents and charging outlets, but the car works well for me as I am usually the only passenger in the car. With regard to a garage door opener, I found the myQ app within HondaLink, but I decided not to use it for the reasons several of you pointed out. The original remote that works with the garage door works fine, but I decided to go with the Meross MSG100 which someone in this thread recommended. It was only $25 on Amazon and was very easy to install. It works with Alexa and Google as well as Siri if you pay a little more for the Apple HomeKit version. So far, the Meross MSG100 is working perfectly, and all I have to do is say "Alexa (or Google) open the garage door" or "Alexa (or Google) close the garage door". Easy peasy. Thanks to all for their help!

I'm curious if the built in myq will have the closing delay you get when you close your garage door with the myq app. I have alarm.com and my garage door linked through that - and also exposed to homekit with homebridge. I can open/close it from my Apple Carplay dash, but there's a 10ish second safety delay where the beeper and light goes off when closing. Can't seem to by pass it.

Maybe one day I'll dig into the center console and repurpose the blank slot where the auto engine start stop button normally is and convert it to the garage door remote!

I currently have my remote behind mirror as well but I like the stealth switch remedy for when you may leave the car parked outside the garage when your not home. I ordered two of them just in case I decide to maybe add fog lights at some point down the line.
