Raiti's Rides got to drive the Civic Si FE1 Race Car around Nashville Super Speedway. If you see more photos of the car out in public add them here.
For a driving school like Skip Barber it makes a lot sense for them to want this at their disposal. They'll drive it like it should be driven. So they choose it as a teaching machine? Would make sense, very familiar and predictable. A momentum machine, just what a beginner student needs. Or anyone improving their skills.
Or to be actually raced? Is this a prototype for a turn key racer?
It really is, $55,000 for a fully built race car is hard to beat if you can afford it. I'm really interested to see how many of these cars Honda ends up selling. The Honda HPD turnkey race car is an incredible bargain for anyone that wants one, if I had some disposable income and I needed a track car that would be it, no fuss , pick it up and drive it. They did an excellent job with it and the parts list is impressive.
