has anyone removed the front license plate bracket? I'm getting PPF and want it out of the way. Any tips would be great. thanks in advance.

Looks to me like those tabs I circled the metal ones. They should slide out in the direction of the arrows. You may need a flat head screwdriver to lift them over their holding tabs.
Here is a photo with the bracket removed you can see one metal tab gone the other side still has its metal tab pushed up on there. Looks like they just slide away releasing the bracket plate .

those tabs are there only there hold the plate in place. i've had a really good look from above and below (up on a lift) and the only way to get to the hardware (which faces the radiator) is to remove the bumper or grill. both are a pain. according to my dealer all Aud cars left the factory with this madness, rather than dealer fit.
Oh man what a nightmare. I thought for sure those tabs would slide out. 😬 They sure don't make it easy on us. Reminds me of drain and fill on the mower. It's like who doesn't put an oil drain plug. You literally have to tip the whole thing over it goes out where you put it in. 🤷♂️
