What is the average production cycle for the Honda Civic? I'm glad to see this new model here for 2022 but felt like the last generation went by rather fast. Also, when can we expect the 11th gen Civic to get a facelift and other changes that often come with it?

I think it varies. The current Civic has been on sale since 2015 I think. So that's 6 full years on sale before the 2022s come out.

I think the 9th gen was only out for 4 years though. It was sort of lame though.

That seems to be the usual pattern looking back at the 8th, 7th and 6th generations.

I like that Honda doesn't run the generations longer like Toyota, it helps to keep things exciting although 7th and 9th gens were terrible.

Typically it was 4 years, but the current generation was 6 with a facelift halfway through.

I was told by a salesman that Honda aims for every 6 years. I was asking about the Civic and CR-V.

5-6 years depending on how sales are going and what the market is currently like. Typically mid model updates happen on model year 4 of a cycle.
