Honda has filed a trademark with the USPTO for the name and logo for "Trailsport". According to the filing the Trailsport is to be used for "Land vehicles, namely, sport utility vehicles, automobiles, trucks, and structural parts for the foregoing".

The question is whether or not this is for a new trim level for an existing vehicle or if it's a new vehicle altogether? My guess is a trim level or special edition because it doesn't really fit with the other names Honda has used for its vehicles, particularly SUVs.

Cool. I have to think it's a trim of the Ridgeline and Passport. It just doesn't sound like a Honda model.

I could be wrong though.

Trail and sport doesn't sound overly aggressive. I wonder what Honda has planned.

I see this as an off-road trim for the Ridgeline, Passport and maybe the CRV?
The logo looks to me like something they'll use as a badge on one of those vehicles.

This off-road version of the Passport that Honda put together for an event might be related.

There was also this report that came out around the same time.

That seems like the most logical choice. Especially when Subaru revealed the Outback Wilderness edition.
