I was in GB early this year and noticed relatively few Hondas. I'd have thought there would be greater presence, given that Honda used Europe as their reference when designing the car.

As for why this is a great car, certainly you can look at the reviews and see their explanations. I've been a Honda owner for my adult life, the main reason has been the cars are a pleasure and reliable to drive. Compared to similar cars at the same price point they have always felt premium. While the eight different Honda's have been good there have also been some that were special (IMHO: 1986 Si, 2005 Honda Accord (Acura TSX in the USA).

This generation's hybrid Hondas, are one of these. They took great handling car, well designed cabin and made it into an a near EV. You get the power and "right now" acceleration of an EV. In daily driving in town and on the motorway is nimble and inspires confidence. I also get good fuel economy without having the range anxiety of an EV. I've had mine for nine months and I still smile every time I drive it.

Worth a look and a drive.

It may be the price. Aren't UK Civics loaded with all the options, even more than the US ST level? I know they have rear vents and USB, maybe heated steering and vented front seats too? People here are often crying for that stuff but you know they don't give it to you for free.
