I just got a Vantrue N4 dashcam system for my 23 sport touring hatch and a hardwire kit to enable parking mode. I’m excited to take it on as a little project and learn more about the wiring.
I need a constant power (battery) fuse and an ACC fuse for the install. So I got a fuse tester to figure out which relays are hot when the engine is off/on. I was looking to use fuse 40 or 41 (20A) for my constant power/battery source since the power seats work with the engine off. However those fuses don’t even light up when the engine is off despite the seats working under than condition. Checked all the fuses and mapped out which ones are active when the engine is off to make sure my voltage tester wasn’t broken. Looking for an explanation on that since I’m brand spanking new to this.
Also if anyone here has experience with similar hardwiring projects like this and can recommend which fuses to use safely for my battery and ACC fuses I’d appreciate that!
