Bought my 2024 SI in June. Absolutely love it. However this Lane Keeping Assist System( LKAS )is not only annoying I feel it is dangerous. There are driving situations out there when lets say a quick lane change is needed and there is no time to put on the blinker. Now on top of the dicey move that called for precision, accuracy and experience I have to deal vehicle that WOBBLES just when I need the stability most ?

I have a 2003 Corvette with same shift pattern but a longer throw. I can guarantee that if that car had this BS LKAS system I would not be here today writing this.

Please help. Does anyone know how to turn this thing off. Dealer has no answer.

Next to the traction control button, there will be a button (forgot the name of it pardon me) that controls the LKAS and the automatic emergency braking. Depress the button and it will bring up this menu:

Once the menu is shown on the dash, use the scroll wheel on the left side of your steering wheel to hover over the lane keep icon, and depress the scroll wheel.

LKAS is woke 😂 I know this logical response will be wasted on you but for anyone sane who is reading this if you need to make a SUDDEN lane change, LKAS won’t even have time to respond. It only engages if you start to slowly drift out of your lane

Side note, things that are NOT woke:
Drinking bleach
Eating tide pods
Using exhaust fumes from an AMERICAN V8 as aromatherapy

LKAS (Lake Keep Assist System) and RDMS (Road Departure Mitigation System) are no big deal.
Just don't use LKAS, and turn off RDMS. Problem solved. They don't turn themselves back on.

Auto Idle Stop is the real WOKE feature, as it wears out parts faster and will re-enable itself every power on.
It's absolutely ridiculous.

just to be polite, i think if you are often finding the need to change lanes suddenly, you are driving faster than a thinking man oughta. a slower pace will solve your problem. those unsignaled lane changes are causing problems behind you too, which sometimes shortly thereafter also arrive at your location ;)

but in practical terms, a sudden need to avoid some crazy hyundai accent driver (story from today, in fact), I don't believe the lane keeping will prevent you from making that lane change.
