Hey y’all, while using Google Maps and Pandora Radio together in Apple CarPlay, my phone heats up and finally quits giving updated map directions. Have any of you felt with this before? And if so, what did you do to resolve it? Thanks!

Are you charging at the same time? Is the phone in the sun? I've had this happen with my Samsung S22 on hot summer days while wirelessly charging with the sun shining on it.

Yes it’s plugged in. I wonder if it is because I replaced my Apple battery with an aftermarket one? Thoughts?

Could be the battery runs hotter and is more prone to overheating. Did the shutdowns start happening only after it was replaced?

I never had CarPlay before the battery. But simply using the phone by itself introduces levels of heat I never experienced before the battery replacement.

Agree - Apple products are all matched with components to prevent this - my iPhone 14 doesn't do this with my wireless CarPlay dongle and charging. The battery would be my thought at a culprit.

I use car play with my iPhone12. No heating issues.
Get a good battery.
