After Market filters

So I have recently fount out the factory intake filters for the 11th gens 2.0L are the same filters for the 10th gens 2.0L. This means that any aftermarket drop in filters (AFE, K&N, AEM, Etc.) for the 10th gens 2.0L will fit the 11th 2.0L

Here is my ‘22 sport hatch with a new AFE Power Pro Dry S filter installed, Enjoy!

They are not the same for the 1.5T.

does a " performance" filter make a big diffrence?

Nothing huge. It just lets the engine breathe easier and might gain 2 hp. I use them just to make my car a bit more efficient. You might notice a small improvement but nothing major.

i can get better fuel efficiency? i need one now lol
Lol. I mean.... It should help but it will only be noticeable over the longer term.

I believe that honda has a different part number for the 10th 1.5T and the 11th 1.5T but I was under the impression they are the same shape like then 2.0L. But either way I edited the post to reflect only the 2.0L filters which I have personally confirmed, thanks for pointing that out 🤙🏼

I saw about a 1.4 MPG jump on my 2.0L sport. I went with this filter option for the slight gain, and the ability to wash and reuse vs. stock. I drive my car 100 miles per day and just wanted to improve my stock set up (will not be off to the dyno with my new filter haha)

any difference between this one and k&n?

I just prefer AFE over K&N. I don’t think K&N makes a dry filter, all of theirs are oiled. I have always heard the oil can pass by an clog up the mass air flow sensor. That is why I chose to go with the AFE Power Dry S filter. I just wanted a wash and reuse filter.

Thanks for this post! I need to replace the filter that came with my car already and I wasn’t sure if people actually used the reusable ones 😂

I really want a cone filter for my Si. I just love the way that looks. I don't even care about the performance or mpg boost. I just want it to look nicer when I open the hood. Lol.

Though you are not wrong about looks, a cone filter under the hood would suffer from heat soak so bad, it wouldn’t be worth it hahaha

Don't you angle it down where it draws in fresh air, though?

You won't get much "fresh air" under the hood unless the cone filter is inside the actual air induction system.

I got a K&N filter on my 2.0L. Definitely saw a boost in throttle responsiveness. I could tell, and my passengers could tell, when I was pressing either heavily or light on the gas. The responsiveness just helped make the car a bit more fun, helped it breathe better, and not feel as sluggish.
Also it allows me to say the car is 160 HP instead of 158 HP.

also not a huge fan of the cone intakes just because of heat soaking. My brother has one on his 2012 SI that’s positioned basically at the bottom of his bumper. Works pretty well since heat rises. He just can’t drive through puddles or his car would drown haha. I’d just get an AEM or K&N filter and be done with it.
