Wow 0 APR! That's unheard of in Canada. My loan has 7ish% on it. I don't think they necessarily will bump the price to make up the difference. Dealer gets commission as long as there's a finance loan sold, no matter the % (from what I've been told)
I thought so too. I was about to buy a 2024 accord with a great deal on it and a very low APR, but my daughter thought it’s too large. Some dealers here have 0% APR on 2024 Accords on the lot but no one has it for 2025 Accord or Civics. That dealer is not very close to me so I’m not sure it I want to drive there to find out it’s bogus. Maybe I can ask if that offer is through American Honda Financing or some other deal.

So the 0% APR is with Honda, but the downside is the dealer wants to charge MSRP. And you can only finance 36 months, with a maximum of $20k. When I showed the salesman the other quote I got from another dealer he said he would talk to his manager. I doubt they will come down much, if any. I’ll do some math tonight with looking at different financing options.

Hello all,

Anyone getting pricing lately in the Chicagoland or Midwest area for 2025s? I haven’t walked into any dealerships yet but for hybrid sports I am getting around $1000 below MSRP in emails. There’s one that offered $27495 for a regular color, that’s about $2350 off. How likely will it be that I’ll get a better pricing if I walk in?

Also there’s one dealership that’s offering 0% APR on one of these cars. I confirmed with two different people at that dealership. You think they’ll bump up the price to make up for the difference between 0% and 4.9%? I know it’s two different entities (dealership vs American Honda financing) so has anyone gone this route with any dealers?

Thanks.
$1700 to $1900 off MSRP on Sport Touring Sedan, $900 off Sport Sedan. $2000 off Sport Touring Hatchback, $1400 off Sport Hatchback. Beware sneaky backend additional equipment and fees. Every Honda dealer I've contacted had them. A few were willing to drop them to get a sale. Some of the dealers included military, college, conquest rebates in advertised discounts and they were NOT upfront to disclose.
Many dealerships are under construction to meet Honda requirements. These dealers were more aggressive in their pricing. I'm wondering if Honda is incentivizing sales during construction.

Discounts on the hatchbacks were much more difficult to find.
I sampled a large area. From Wisconsin to Illinois to Indiana to Michigan and Ohio.

McGrath Honda of Saint Charles advertised $1500 under Invoice Black Friday sale and $100 for package of all weather mats, wheel locks, splash guards. I did not contact them and have no experience with them. Don't know if they are sneaky or legit.

Last month I got $3000 off a Sport Touring Hybrid Hatchback in central Ohio, minus the state mandated $387 doc fee. Zero add-ons or extras. Fresh car with only 4 miles.

Walking into a dealership just before or after Christmas, you should be able to get $3K off or even a few hundred more.

Wow that’s amazing. Can I ask if this was financing or cash?

I picked up a 2025 ST Hybrid hatchbach yesterday in Virginia.
I bought a 2024 ST Hatch from the same dealer in February so this is an unnecessary purchase but I indulged myself.

The Hybrid system is a game changer in this car.

The '24 stickered at $32,500 i I couldn't negotiate any discount.
The Hybrid stickers at $34.050 in Solar Silver. I worked another dealer to a sale price of $31,050. I was able to get my original daler to match.
So, I bought tyhe 2025 for $1,500 less than the '24.

For a trade in on the '24 I was offered $26,500 with just 5,400 miles. Carvana offered $27,600. I couldn't move the dearler up even $500 so the car went to Carvana.
The store I bought from charges $800 plus Virginia has a 4.3% tax on all cars. There is no offset for trade ins in Virginia so a good tradein offer or private sale is important.

I'll give the new ride an initial ceramic coating today and a little shakedown with a picture or two to follow.

After taxes and dealer fee, you spent $34,700 on your 2024, losing over $7000 in just 1 year.

That is an extremely steep price to pay.
Hopefully you keep the 2025 for more than a year.

Okay Civic Community, I know that there are a lot of folks, like me, trying to make a purchase and we’re constantly looking to see what everyone else has paid.

Over at the Piloteers thread, we have this thread that is extremely helpful as a one-stop-shop, so that people don’t always have to ask the question over and over again. I’m surprised a thread like this isn’t already going.

Anyway, if you purchased the 2025 Hybrid Civic - please post the trim (sport or sport touring), any other details of add-ons and of course the price you paid for vehicle. Please include:
  • Purchase Price
  • Taxes & Doc Fees
  • Final Out-the-Door Price
  • Where you purchased the vehicle (state)

At the very least, just share the OTD and let’s limit the convo replies. Thanks All!
  • '25 Sport Hatchback, Black, no add-ons
  • "Dealer price": $31,500
  • Purchase Price: $30,000 on Nov. 30, 2024
    • Initial contact thru Costco buying program, which would have been ~$1200 off their starting price, but they ended up giving me ~$1500
  • Doc Fees: $800
  • Final Out-the-Door Price with tax+title: $33,316
    • Registration will be another ~$500, to be paid separately to state DMV. (yes it's a bizarre system here...)
  • Where you purchased the vehicle (state): Colorado
Cross-ref my post on the general hybrid availability thread -- oops found that spot before this thread: https://www.civic11forum.com/posts/82164/

Thank you for that information. It was not a consideration in the purchase.

Just want to say that the sticker on my 1976 Civic Hatch CVCC was about $3,150 - at the time these were a hot commodity and I paid sticker at a store where my dad was a good friend of the owner. Interesting clientele he had....he kept a revolver in his desk....
The "25 Hatch ST hybrid was $34,045...I got it down to 31,045.
About 11x increase sticker v sticker in 50 years.

The car also got about 11x bigger and more complicated!

Seeing some of these posts makes me feel like I got ripped off. The price was $29,500 (before any fees) for a Sport Hatch Hybrid in Sand Dune Pearl (which is a premium color that I wanted). 33K OTD in Arizona. That was the only hatch they had in stock (had several sedans). The Mazda guys were playing ball much harder than the Honda ones in terms of lowering price.

That’s what I paid for mine (sedan ST). From what I’ve gathered from this thread and numerous others the sweet spot range seems to be about $32-$34k. It’s dependent on the state, model (hatch or sedan) and color option.

I think if people get it around that range, then it’s a good deal. Above that, then you can definitely do better.

It's impossible to tell what kind of deal you got unless you provide key information.
  • What was the MSRP (including destination) for your vehicle?
  • What is the total amount you paid the dealership (including doc fees and other dealership fees), but EXCLUDING government-mandated fees (sales tax, tags, registration, tire fees, ect)?
  • Did you finance with the dealership? If so, what was the rate & term?
  • Did you have a trade-in? If so, what was it and how much did they give you?
  • Did you buy any extras in the F&I office? (warranty, protection package, maintenance package, ect)

Are you talking about OTD numbers?
If so, that $32-$34K range is completely meaningless on a nationwide internet forum like this.

The highest tax rate in the country is 9.563%. The lowest is 0.0%.
So depending on where you live, the OTD price could vary as much as $3300 in just sales tax paid.

MSRP: 31,500
Price: 29,405
Dealer cost NOT including tax and registration: ~30,500

I didn't pay for any extras, no trade-in. They included a 2-year dealer warranty. This is the first new car I've ever bought so I don't know if that kind of thing is standard or not.

I did finance, no reason to go into the details (may pay off immediately, may want a year to get the credit history). I know dealers like financing more than they like cash buyers. The price was negotiated on the phone before I even got there and told them how I wanted to pay.

That's the main thing, people getting the sport touring for what I paid for the sport model. My dealer had those listed for 3k more. The bigger screen and Bose system would have been nice. Too late now anyway.
