Me too. I wished South Carolina offered a "blacked out" version of their plates.

Not if half you car was "blacked" out, it would look "fire"!

I wonder if the shimmer on the wrap reflects light in a way that could be annoying to the driver.

That's why they make window tint or a good pair of Ray Bans.

Disagree, looks dumb.

"Dumb" would apply if it was orange. green, or purple. It's "black" so it has some sense of style, and it may not be your "cup of tea" so let's just say it doesn't look "good"...ok?
