Honda has told Car and Driver that they don't have plans for adding all-wheel drive to the new Civic.

We had hoped an AWD Civic was in the cards but received a denial from Honda’s spokesperson. Such a car would help the 11th-gen model compete with the Subaru Impreza and Mazda 3.

Can't say I'm surprised by this. Honda wants people to buy their crossovers for AWD. The only way I see Honda doing this is if all of a sudden sales drop drastically for the Civic.
