The new Civic hatch was spotted in Japan recently and a lot of it matches the patents.

Great find @hondapwr! The headlights definitely match the patent photos.

That first shot has me even MORE excited to see what the production hatch will be like in person.

I know I can't be the only one!

Not sure why they're not calling this a fastback. This is hardly a hatchback in comparison.

It sure is less of a hatchback compared to the outgoing model.

A test mule was spotted again, likely somewhere in Japan judging from the environment.

This angle shows that backend better. Now that is more like it. This has me exited now. Still holding out hope for a hatchback Si.

It's way more sloped in the back than I expected.

I wouldn't say its 100% of what we'll get in a production model.
It does however provide some direction of what to expect.
