The 2022 Civic hatchback is set to go on sale in September 2021 and the 2022 Civic Si will go on sale in October 2021. This is confirmed by information from a Honda marketing roadmap for the full 2022 Civic lineup.
No idea I bet it'll be a bit longer. I figure August at the earliest. If hatchback gets announced today, does that mean Si gets announced next month?
I mean...I REALLY have a tough time believing that car is an Si prototype. I could be wrong, but it just looks TOO similar to the regular sedan. I know the Si is pretty tame, but there's nothing that pops on that car for me at all.
My thoughts exactly. The Si has never been a radical departure from the standard civics in terms of looks. Spoiler, wheels, maybe a slightly different grille garnish, exhaust finisher and that's about it for visuals. This car has all 4 of those things over the standard car.I mean...
The last 3 generations of Si have been an exact copy of the normal car with an added wing/spoiler, a better (real) exhaust/exhaust tip and a specific wheel usually reserved just for the Si. This prototype literally has a real dual exhaust as compared to the normal cars turn down hidden exhaust tips. This also has a disguised spoiler/wing. This is wearing the Sports 18" black wheels (which 18" black wheels were used on the mid cycle refresh of the 10th gen)
This literally has the entire formula.

Yeah you're right it does follow the Si blueprint in many ways. I hope we can get some clarification tonight during the hatch reveal. Are you looking to get a Si @Wheats027?I mean...

I’m not really sure. I do currently have a 2015 Fit that is definitely do for an upgrade. Ive had Si’s in the past. I currently have a 2018 Type R. The Si has the most lure to me as I feel it is the right package for me ammenities/performance for the price.Yeah you're right it does follow the Si blueprint in many ways. Oh nice, how long have you had the Type R for? Have you added any mods to it?I’m not really sure. I do currently have a 2015 Fit that is definitely do for an upgrade. Ive had Si’s in the past. Yeah would really love some updates if anyone has them. One dealer I talked to said the Si production was paused. No idea how accurate that is since 3 other dealers haven’t heard anything when I asked about it. Also, the RS was released in Thailand… doesn’t the US Si usually look exactly like it?Based on how it's the middle of September and we have not gotten a date as to when they will be out I think it might be safe to say that the hatch and Si are going to be delayed unless someone has some info on this.
It's called NDA's. Break the contract and dealers will lose their inventory.Yeah would really love some updates if anyone has them. One dealer I talked to said the Si production was paused.
