I am not familiar with the little 1.5 turbo motor. Our last Honda was 2013 SI. I have read a lot of issues with the engine, in particular, oil dilution. Has the problems with this engine been fixed? Is this an engine you trust to go 100k miles?

I don't think the design of the direct injection and the turbo engine with such a small displacement can make the engine reliable in the long run. It is overstressed. The direct injection has a notorious issue with carbon build up, not just oil dilution.

I would never consider 1.5 turbo. I am planning to buy the naturally aspirated, port injected 2.0 K20 engine.

You see, there's a lot of screaming on the internets about the oil dilution issue, and you can find all kinds of info about it. What's significantly more difficult is finding evidence of the actual (unmodified) engine failures, and that despite the fact that the engine has been around for what, 5-6 years now.
