Hello Forum Members,
I disconnected my battery to run 1/0 gauge wires to the trunk and when I reconnected the battery all of my dash lights are on and there is one warning after another appearing on the left of the dash. I have been driving it for 2 days and none of them have gone off. My lousy dealership still hasn't gotten back with me, but I saw on other Gens there is a sequence of events you can do to reset all of those lights and make them go away.
I am hoping someone on here know how to fix this.
Thanks and peace.
Randy
Sorry to digress from the main point of the thread, but how did you hide the 0 gauge when running it through the cabin back to the trunk? Also, the dash lights up like a Christmas tree for me as well whenever I remove either battery terminal. On my digital cluster, it just tells me the car is "calibrating" and to keep driving. After a few miles, it resets and the lights go away. On certain occasions, I also have to cycle the ignition after driving. But seriously, how did you hide that wire?!?!
I finished the Big 3 Upgrade and fed the 1/0 gauge through the firewall on the driver side. Then ran it under the driver seat floor pan through to the trunk. By the way, this 1/0 guage is 20 years old from my 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer so it is not in perfect shape but still not cut and no oxidation or anything. Also, upgrade the alternator to 290 amp HO. Will be putting in (3) Sundown E10v4 Subs powered by SFB 1500-D and today finished splicing into the rear channels and running the wire back to the trunk.
I don't know of any specific sequence anyone may have noted, but pulling the back-up fuse in the underhood fuse box typically gets rid of check engine lights. I would start with that , pull the fuse for 10 seconds and reinsert.
Sorry, Autotech Engineering. Very good people and fast responses. Good Price too. I have had mine for 38k miles and about 17 months without issue and voltage does not drop below 14.1
