i notice a clue in the dash display. individual/sport/gt/comfort. those would be drive modes.

we know there is a "S+" button, which is related to shifting .. speed of shifting or ratios or throttle response or whatever. there are also paddle shifters, which the civic sport also has, no surprise.

you wouldn't have an Individual setting just for shifting. individual is for configuring some combination of things. steering/shifting/dampers.

so, at least ONE of steering+dampers must have more than one setting ;)
Paddles are regenerating braking control most likely, like the civic hybrids

Not to go off-topic, but imagine how nice it would be if Honda offered an Si-L? Basically the existing Si, with the new Prelude's leather seats and some upgrades from the top trim Civics. Duol-zone climate control, power seats, auto-dimming mirrors, etc.

Of course, I don't think that will ever happen, but it would be great to see.
Aren't you describing the Integra?

thats called the integra A spec...

and the type r - L is the type s lol

Prius coupe with a cramped Civic-ish interior, hard pass. Wish they’d stop trying to revive models like Integra and Prelude with cars not worthy of the name.

Already dreading how they’re going to butcher the revival of the S2000.

You are not wrong. But the Integra - at least in the A=Spec trim - also has more tech built in, with adaptive suspension, HUD, etc. It would be nice to have an Si that had a few of the upscale features of the higher trim Civics but without the $39K price tag of the Integra A-Spec.

To be honest, I bought my new Si for the powertrain and sport suspension. I miss a couple features from the Civic Sport Touring Hatchback I traded in for this car, but the more rewarding driving experience has been worth the trade-offs.

Seats look cool. Hate the button shifters. Dash looks like a less refined 11th gen civic/accord, but what looks like alcantara trim could be neat. Really wish they could offer a manual transmission hybrid in this similar to the CRZ. Then I’d really be interested.

I'm a little concerned. If it's got a civic dash, does that mean it's got a civic SIZE? I would much rather it be on the accord platform. We already have a 2-door civic. Why do we need another? And since the 2-door accord went away, this would be the perfect replacement. So, i hope it's accord sized!
The new Civic isn't the small car it used to be. I think this is the perfect size.

And since the Civic and the Accord don't have a 2-door model, I'm guess Honda thinks the Prelude might fill that void in their lineup.

it's smaller than a civic! think a civic coupe, two rear seats.
but these sporty cars are all big on outside, cramped inside. blame crash safety requirements.
it'll be better in that respect than the BRZ, which does not make good use of its space.

I had my Si serviced at the dealership yesterday afternoon. I almost asked a salesman when they're expecting the new Prelude to start arriving, but did an internet search instead. (Answer seems to be late 2025.)

I'm really looking forward to seeing the new car in person. I love driving a manual, so probably no Prelude for me, but who knows. Maybe someday. I only hope the car sells well enough that Honda keeps it in production for several years or more.
