I have a new 24 Civic SP TRG Hatchback. I traded in my 18 Civic that used the cable for Android Auto, etc. HL worked with my 18 fairly well....sometimes it wouldn't update stats but it didnt have much to give so I didn't care. Now with my 24 I want to use the remote start, location finding, etc. I have remote start on the fob I know. With BT setup on my Samsung S24+ the car says you can do either phone/music OR Android Auto. I use AA all the time so thats my default. Reading the manual it says that you can't use HL with BT and AA. That doesn't make sense....it's poor. When I have AA running I get calls, can pay Apple Music thru AA just fine.

I just can't get past when I open the app and it says I have to connect BT. No matter what I do with BT (set it to phone/music only OR AA) I can't get it to connect to the app. When I click on the HL icon on the display screen menu it says the phone disconnected which makes no sense because my BT is connected to the car.

I've tried everything and very frustrated. Before wasting time calling tech support...just seeing if anyone with my car and phone (or close enough) had same issues and got this to work. I even tried the USB cable, like I had to did on my old 18.....no luck.

TIA

There was a thread about this earlier about hondalink not working. The concensus about it is that the recent samung changes broke the app and we have to wait honda to update their app on their end.

Apple user here and mine worked for the first few weeks and then stopped and I couldn’t get it to work again.
This is exactly what happened to me, it worked up to like 300 miles on the odometer and then stopped syncing. If I look now it’ll still say 300 miles even though I’m at 7k now. The app sucks but it doesn’t seem to do much of anything aside from collect our data.

All mine does is tell me to call the dealership for service.

I don't think it's just Android. iPhone users seem to have issues with it working as well for a month now.

Garbage app, worked for a bit during the first year or two and stopped launching it since all was able to do was tell me my fuel and odometer...which is available on the dash and call a dealer if there's a CEL...Honda is always decades behind on connected car apps.
