Just received a notice on my carfax profile about a new recall notice on my 22 civic. Didn't seem to be up on NHTSA website yet. Any know what this is about? I saw a screenshot on reddit claiming TSB for this is 24-119

Yes!!! I am so happy. I have been having issues with my EPS but because I am outside of warranty I was told by Honda they wouldn't fix it and it would be over $3k to fix. Then I saw the recall about a hour ago and called Honda near my house. My car is part of the recall but they haven't gotten the parts yet because the recall just came out yesterday so I was told to call next week or the week after to schedule. I am so happy!

I've inputted my VIN numerous times on Honda's website and NHTSA's, just to say that there are no outstanding recalls on my vehicle. It was only a call to Honda's customer service that they confirmed my car was part of the recall.

I talked to my dealer, and they're aware. But since it's so recent, they obviously do not have parts.

Though what worries me is they say that if the EPS gearbox is affected, the front subframe needs to be removed for the remedy... or the service advisor I talked to does not know what he's talking about.
I believe it because mine has been having issues for a couple months and it's to the point where it has a weird noise when I am turning which could very well be the subframe.

Mine didn't have any issues, though I only have 5k miles. But the fact that Honda included all Civics (even the made-in-Japan-so-it-has-better-build-quality Type R), tells me that whoever built the steering rack for Honda cut corners.

Me too. I put my VIN in Honda Canada's recall site and it comes back with invalid VIN...and the other Honda Finance site shows no outstanding recall. That being said at least here in Canada, all the recalls I've received for cars have been by mail

I had my sticky steering fixed at 20,838 miles on my 2022 Touring purchased new. It now has around 26,000 miles (I only drive it 700-800 miles a month). Wonder if I'll receive the recall since I had a repair, and if I do receive it, should I get it done.

Yes you should get it done. According to the recall, they didn't start producing the fixed worm wheel until recently and you could still have the same load value set on the spring

“Over” 10,300 warranty claims for this. Okay let’s say 25,000 vehicles have reported the issue. Heck 50,000. And that’s probably being really generous.
Okay kids, divide 50,000 by 1.7 million and what does that get you?

AND no attributed deaths. Most of us here don’t have any issues. So for those of you who don’t. Will you get this replaced right away when parts become available and dealers have availability?

I am guessing they all have this same EPS box and they were all made the same. So they are probably trying to change it on all the vehicles to be safe because I tell you, it's bad when it starts happening.

Just saying they wouldn't replace it in every 11th gen Civic ever made if it wasn't a problem or was going to be a problem. I would also take the no attributed deaths as a grain of salt. Civics are also some of the safest passenger cars on the roads with an insane number of airbags and IIHS A+ rating
