The fact is they don’t make them like they used to. Everything is fast fast fast during production now compared to 30 years ago.

I have so many little rattles in mine, you would think it was put together by children. Music helps a lot to drown out noises. Luckily most of the roads I travel on are pretty smooth. I went over some rough pavement a while back and Lord was the whole car rattling.

There should be no power issues. CVTs are notoriously trash from a stop.
Agreed!
Couldn’t have said it better myself.

The sunglasses do rattle, but this is a separate noise. It’s behind the rearview mirror. There’s a few plastic pieces there and I’d assume the clips are loose. I just didn’t know if anyone else had the same pieces rattling or if it was vehicle specific and only me.
I can usually adjust the sunglasses in the holder and get that to stop. It’s that plastic piece rattling by the rearview mirror that drives me nuts.
I hated my sunglasses rattling around in the holder, so I got closed cell foam and cut it to size. For the rattling I put some sound deadening on the back of the panel above the mirror as well as on the light panel and sunglasses holder. Also used some cloth tape on some of the spots the wires may come into contact with and around the mounting points to tighten it up a little when I put the panel back in. No more rattles.

It’s impossible that the odometer had 0 miles between it being moved at the port of entry, loaded on/off of a truck, the PDI, moved around the dealership and the test drive(s). What you may have seen was the trip odometer or the salesperson made a mistake when they recorded the mileage. My ‘24 Civic had 55 miles and I made sure because when I bought my ‘20 HR-V they recorded the mileage as 83 miles and I didn’t notice until I got home that it was the trip odometer and that it actually had over 1,200 miles on it (I got a demo!). I went back and talked to the sales manager about it and got the “I will get back to you”, which he never did but there was nothing that I could really do. The salesperson was a relative of a relative and I didn’t want to get her into trouble, so I just let it go.
When I bought my car it was 6km (almost 4 miles). I don't know if I would buy a new car that had a test drive on it. Most people will want to test the cars power and acceleration. The chance they waited until operating temperature for that probably low. Plus the car is not even out of engine break in yet so you shouldn't be spending any time with high engine load. This obviously won't do anything immediately but there is a reason manufactures recommend break ins.

Yeah that happens on mine as well. Although its mostly noticeable in hot weather (Phoenix, 100F+)

Great tip, thank you!

Anything in the door pockets rattles like crazy too…as far as power goes, make sure your using top tier fuel and PEA fuel additives to keep injectors clean. You may also ask your dealer or mechanic to check for carbon build up on intake valves. Have it checked before agreeing to the expensive cleaning process. Personally I use Amsoil Power Shot as recommended every 4000 miles and my fuel choice is Shell

2.) I notice excessive wind noise around the door seal on the drivers side door. I’ve talked to the dealership and it couldn’t be replaced under warranty because there was no visible damage. Unfortunately, my 36,000 mile warranty has passed.
I would make sure the seals are clean and well hydrated (I personally like Honda's own Shin Etsu grease). It helps them seal better.

3.) The drivers side floor mat grommet closest to the door has torn and the floor mat is not sitting flush anymore. It looks hideous. (I just feel like it’s poor quality to tear this soon with how well I take care of the car)
You can replace the hook fairly easily.

4.) There is a small plastic piece up by my rear view mirror that rattles while driving and it’s utterly annoying.
You can use felt tape to get rid of rattles. Honda even has its own part number for it: 06993-SA5-000.

I don’t keep anything in my door pockets. I keep my car basically empty. The only rattle issue I’m having in the plastic piece up by the rearview mirror. It looks like a cover for the electronics and wiring.
As far as power goes I wouldn’t pay for any injector cleaning services.
The owners manual for my vehicle specifics a low grade lower octane fuel. Would it be better to use a premium grade and higher octane fuel and go against what the owners manual specifies?
I try to follow the vehicle manufacturer recommendations for everything I do to a vehicle as far as fluids, maintenance and more goes.

It’s not the hook that’s ripped it’s the grommet in the floor mat itself. I probably just need to replace the floor mat. I may buy weather tech floor mats.
As far as the door trim and weather stripping goes, that product you’re recommending is that on Amazon or is that something I’d have to buy through Honda?

Even easier then. Just replace the mat.

Shin Etsu grease is available at dealers (physical and online), Amazon, eBay, etc. Just search for Honda 08798-9013.

I have read that Shell 93 Octane adds an upper cylinder lubricant which you can use separately, but top tier and higher octane are different things
