OK stick-shift fans, serious question: If the new Civic Type R did come with a dual-clutch transmission... would you still take the manual?
No, sadly I haven't had the luxury. My 91 Civic has the full 96spec ITR swap in it too, so my view is limited.Good point. Autos really are the way to go.
Have you driven any high performing DCT cars like the R35 GT-R or just anything higher performing than what Honda produces?
It certainly would do that. It'd also allow Honda to take the Type R to a new level of performance and track times they haven't reached yet with the car.I was just thinking too about the entire concept of the new Civic. The gauges are meant to connect your vision to the road. With this in mind, I believe a DCT will maintain that vision for the type r in a similar way because in your direct line of sight will be your hands on the steering wheel at all times and really connecting you to the road.
Curious to see what aftermarket upgrades we get to go along with those factory gauges.I was just thinking too about the entire concept of the new Civic.
