Airbag light

Is this passenger airbag light suppose to be on while the car is on. If not, what do I do. I can’t remember if it’s always been on or not.

I'm guessing your passenger seat is empty? That's why it's off

If it doesn't sense someone in the passenger seat, it disables the airbag to cut down on repair costs.

It illuminates off while unoccupied not just to reduce repair costs, but also to protect children or other occupants that weigh 65 lbs/29.6 kg or less.

I think what he is asking is it supposed to start on. I'm pretty sure the indicator light on My 07 turns off eventually

It doesn't eventually turn off. This light stays constantly on when the passenger seat is unoccupied. The only time it turns off is when someone sits in the front passenger seat.

That is the most aggravating thing..why stay on at all times..I am going to get a tint of some kind to dim this..

The engineer in charge of the air bag light...is the same guy in charge of the wiper washers.

I think most cars have a light to signify the passenger airbag is off. I don't know why this bothers you so much. It should be something noticeable so you know when the passenger airbag is off.
